31st edition · 24–26 November 2026 · Assago, Milan
At WPC 2026 the Wi-Fi is ours
ObiCon is Gold Sponsor of WPC, Italy’s leading ICT conference on Microsoft technologies, and provides the event’s Wi-Fi connectivity. Three days, over a hundred sessions and an audience that is online all at once: for a network it is the hardest test there is.

WPC 2026 in twelve seconds
The 31st edition runs from 24 to 26 November at the NH Milano Congress Centre in Assago, organised by OverNet Education with the support of Microsoft.
Registration is open on the organisers’ website. We will be there as a Gold Sponsor, and the Wi-Fi network you will be using over those three days is ours.
What WPC is
WPC is Italy’s leading conference on Microsoft technologies, organised by OverNet Education. Three days of technical sessions — over a hundred — on Copilot and artificial intelligence, modern workplace, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and development, under the patronage of Assintel and Clusit.
The 31st edition runs from 24 to 26 November at the NH Milano Congress Centre in Assago. The 2025 edition brought over 1,200 IT professionals into the rooms.
What it takes to bring Wi-Fi to a conference
Six problems that never come up in an office, and here come up all at once
Density, not coverage
In a conference hall the problem is not getting a signal: it is that hundreds of people get it in the same spot. You design for devices per square metre, not for square metres covered.
Two or three devices each
Laptop, phone, sometimes a tablet. You do not count clients by attendees: you multiply. And each one keeps sessions open to different services.
Roaming between rooms
People move from one session to the next while on a video call. The handover from one access point to the next has to be invisible, or the call drops in the corridor.
Channels and interference
In a congress centre the airwaves are crowded: other operators, microphones, room systems. Channel and power planning is done with measurements, not factory defaults.
The bandwidth that counts is upstream
The traffic at a technical conference is not just streaming: it is live demos, corporate VPNs, uploads. The uplink makes the difference, and it is the thing sized last and paid for first.
Watched as it happens
Over the three days the network is watched in real time: clients per access point, retries, saturation. You correct things as they happen, not in the closing report.
Why we want to do it
Because it is the most honest test there is. In a company a network can hide its faults for months: the load is predictable, the people are always the same, the devices are yours. At a conference it cannot. Everything is concentrated into three days, in front of an audience that does exactly our job and notices immediately.
If a network holds up there, it has no excuses in an office. It is the same way of working we bring to our clients: design, on-site measurements, monitoring while things are happening. How we work on connectivity.
See you at WPC
If you are there too and want to talk about networks, security or cloud without slides, drop us a line and we will arrange it.
